I just think they had the "forever" love, you know? BUT - the good thing about Cangel was that it was a more "grown-up" kind of relationship. Not schoolgirl-y like Bangel was.
Cangel totally does!Cordy understands Angel more than everything and she is the only person that makes Angel smile and she is the reason Angel can be a funny man. =) I mean if you realize, Angel always have the cold blooded face back then when he's with Buffy. And Cordy totally the one who sees all the faces that Angel have. The good, the evil. She even feels what Angel feels either as Angel or Angelus when she was a higher-being. There are just so many reasons why Cordy is the best woman Angel could have. Ange like miffed67 said, Bangel love is kinda highschool compared to Cangel which is more grown up kind of love.

Cangel wins out, IMO, for the reason alone that we didn't have to go through 352 times of breathlessly emotional gasps "Cordy..." XD
